Boarding for the dogs we already know
We only board dogs who come to emBARK for daycare. It’s a deliberate choice: your dog arrives knowing the space, the staff and many of the other dogs, and we already know their routine, their food and their quirks. That makes for a much calmer first night than a kennel full of strangers.
Boarding is offered subject to staff availability, and your dog stays either at our facility or in the home of one of our staff. We’ll talk you through which applies when you book.

Other fees: weekend surcharge $20 + GST per weekend (Friday, Saturday or Sunday night); late pick-up after 10 am on pick-up day $20 + GST.
What to pack
- Your dog’s regular food, measured into meals if you can
- Any medication, with written instructions
- A familiar blanket or toy (optional, but it helps)
Make sure vaccinations are current: core (DHLPP), Bordetella and Rabies. Bordetella must be given at least 7 days before the stay.
Holidays fill first
Christmas, spring break and long weekends book out early. If your dog is new to emBARK, start daycare a few weeks before your trip so boarding is an option.

Boarding questions
Who can board at emBARK?
Boarding is for dogs who currently attend emBARK daycare, subject to staff availability. That way every boarding dog already knows our team and our routine.
How much does dog boarding cost?
$68 + GST a night for 1 to 3 nights, $63 + GST for 4 to 10 nights and $58 + GST for 11 nights or more. There's a $20 + GST weekend surcharge and a $20 + GST fee for pick-up after 10 am.
Where does my dog sleep?
Either at our facility or in the home of one of our staff members. We'll confirm the arrangement when you book.
How do I book boarding?
