Why we take small and medium dogs
Small and medium dogs play differently. They wrestle, chase and tumble at a scale that works for them, and a single bounce from a 70 lb lab can turn a good day into an injury or a scared dog. At emBARK, every dog in the room is small or medium, generally 35 lb and under. That’s been our policy since we opened in Port Moody in 2009, and it’s the reason many families choose us.
It also changes who thrives here. Shy dogs, puppies and seniors get the confidence to join in, because nobody in the group can bowl them over.
A space designed for every personality

A day at emBARK

Enrichment, not just supervision
A happy dog gets to do dog things: play, chase, sniff, chew and scavenge. We rotate enrichment puzzles and games through the day so dogs are stimulated physically, mentally and emotionally. Dogs who get that outlet tend to come home calm instead of looking for their own entertainment.
Who looks after your dog
Our pack leaders are experienced with dogs and certified in Dog First Aid. They supervise every play group, keep track of each dog’s meal times, allergies and medication in our client system, and give you a straight answer at pick-up about how the day went.

What size dogs do you take?
Small and medium dogs only. Most of our clients are under 35 lb. If you're not sure whether your dog fits, call us at 604-492-4993.
What are your daycare hours?
Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We're closed on weekends.
How much is dog daycare in Port Moody?
A half day (up to 5 hours) is $28.60 + GST and a full day is $40.00 + GST. Packs of 5 to 20 passes save 5% to 20%, and a monthly unlimited plan saves 30%.
