Why doggy daycare?

Good for your dog, good for you

Our dogs are family, and they need a lot of love and attention. A well-run daycare lends you an extra hand, and the benefits go both ways.

Benefits for dogs

Socialization

Dogs are pack animals with an innate need to be around others. Regular, supervised socializing teaches good manners, like not jumping on strangers and being gentle around kids, and gives dogs the confidence to handle new situations.

Exercise

Dogs rely on us for exercise, and without enough of it, spare energy turns into barking, chewing and other destructive habits. Daycare gives them a safe, supervised place to burn it off, so they come home ready for a quiet evening.

Less boredom and anxiety

A bored dog redirects energy into chewing and ripping things up. An anxious dog may have accidents in the house or bark for hours. The mental and physical stimulation of daycare can sharply reduce both.

A lift in mood

Long stretches alone, a new baby at home or a move can leave a dog withdrawn: low energy, less interest in food or play, more sleep. Regular time with other dogs helps them through those changes.

Benefits for humans

Peace of mind

Many working dog owners are away 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, and feel guilty about it. Knowing your dog is with professionals while you're at work or running errands takes that worry away.

Flexibility

Half days, full days and packs fit odd schedules and occasional needs, not just a Monday to Friday routine.

Affordability

Daycare doesn't have to be every day. For most dogs, 2 to 3 days a week covers their social and exercise needs, and multi-day packs bring the daily cost down.
