FAQ
Frequently asked questions
The things people ask before their dog's first day, answered properly.
Getting started
- What size dogs do you take?
Small and medium dogs only. Our facility is designed for them, and our dog clients are generally 35 lb and under. If you’re not sure whether your dog qualifies, call us at 604-492-4993.
- Do you assess dogs before they start?
Yes, and it’s free. A trained staff member meets your dog and sees how they get on with our team and a few of our dogs. Create a profile and upload vaccination records first, then email or call to book.
- Can I tour the facility before sending my dog?
Of course. On your dog’s assessment day we’re happy to give you a complimentary tour.
- What vaccinations do you require?
All dogs in daycare or boarding, including puppies, need Core (DHLPP) annually, Bordetella annually and Rabies annually or every 3 years depending on the vaccine. Bordetella must be given at least 7 days before arrival.
Up-to-date vaccinations help prevent the spread of disease, which keeps every dog safe and gives every owner peace of mind.
- Do you take puppies?
Yes, from 4 months, once they have completed their full vaccination series including Bordetella and Rabies. Younger puppies can start with one of our partners’ puppy classes.
Daycare
- What are your hours?
Monday to Friday, 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. We’re closed on weekends. If you would like weekend daycare, please let us know.
- Where are you, and is there parking?

- What does a typical day look like?
Doors open at 6:00 am. Play time with ball games and music starts around 9:30, lunch is at noon, then nap and potty time at 2:00. Pick-ups begin around 4:30 and we close at 6:00 pm, when staff clean the whole space with dog-safe products. See the full day.
- Can you handle special diets, allergies and medication?
Yes. Our client system tracks each dog’s meal times, allergies and medication. Tell us at drop-off or update your dog’s profile in the client portal. Food and medication you provide are given in a private area so your dog can eat without interruptions.
- Who looks after the dogs?
Experienced pack leaders certified in Dog First Aid. Staff supervise every play group and keep dogs who are leaving apart from the group at pick-up so things stay calm.
